Human Factors Initial

This two-day initial training covers all aspects relating to human factors, including identifying relevant human factors in the operational environment, understanding and explaining why human factors are important to aviation maintenance, and the industry as a whole, and the role of human factors in overall safety and wellbeing.

This two-day initial training covers all aspects regarding human factors and the syllabus is i.a.w. 145.A.30(e), AMC 2 145.A.30(e) and GM 1 145.A.30(e).

Objectives of the course:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the relevant Human Factors (HF) in the operational environment
  • Describe what “complexity” means and what the implications are for the organization, as well as for individual tasks and responsibilities
  • Explain why HF are important to aviation maintenance and the industry as a whole
  • Identify different types of errors, as well as discuss strategies to prevent them from causing failures
  • Explain the role of HF in overall safety and well-being.
