Theoretical and Practical training on analyzing failure in aviation maintenance, identifying root causes, and developing effective CAPA using structured 5 Whys and Ishikawa tools.

Objectives of the course:

This one day course is designed to provide the attendees with an understanding of “Root Cause Analysis” based on practical examples.

Upon completion of the training, the trainees shall have an understanding:
– Explain the regulatory and organisational purpose of RCA and CAPA in aviation
– Formulate clear, factual, and unambiguous problem statements.
– Distinguish between events, symptoms, causes, contributing factors, and root causes
– Objectively analyse events using a structured RCA approach
– Apply the 5 Whys and Ishikawa method correctly
– Translate RCA Outputs into effective CAPA
– Define measurable CAPA effectiveness criteria
– Evaluate CAPA quality critically
– Communicate RCA and CAPA results clearly and defensibly
