Background

From skydiving to aviation, Tobias took the opportunity to work at Lauda Air, where he became a Certified Aircraft Technician (B1 and B2). Tobias continued at Austrian Airlines, holding both roles simultaneously. In his spare time, during the early days of drones, he built his own. Always active in the ArduPilot community, Tobias turned his hobby into a career by joining Schiebel and working on the S-100 Camcopter – a whole new world of helicopters and UAVs with plenty to learn. There, Tobias progressed from Maintenance Lead and Trainer to Reliability and Avionic Flight Control Development.

Later, at FlyNow, he took on all necessary tasks as part of a small team, including development, prototyping, and test flights of the P1B eCopter, a 400 kg coaxial helicopter passenger drone. Now, Tobias support QCM in civil aviation avionics projects and drone verification for our partners.
