    Objectives

    The objective of the Extended Twin-engine Operations (EDTO/ETOPS), Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) and Low Visibility Operation (LVO) training course is to provides aircraft maintenance technicians and continuing airworthiness personnel with a broad, yet thorough knowledge of EDTO/ETOPS, RVSM and LVO related topics in order to maintain their individual qualification requirements.

    This course will provide an explanation into the background of the existing regulatory requirements in regards to EDTO/ETOPS, RVSM and LVO.

    Whilst this course covers in detail the associated certification, maintenance and airworthiness requirements, it also provides an overview of the operational aspects.

    • EASA AMC 20-6 – Extended Range Operations with twin engines aeroplanes EDTO Certification and Operation
    • Airworthiness and operational regulatory requirements
    • Type Design Approvals
    • Maintenance, Continuing Airworthiness and Operational Approval
    • EDTO/ETOPS, RVSM, LVO approval and monitoring process
    • Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness procedures
    • Basic knowledge of  ADSB-Out to be made mandatory in European airspace as per June 2020
