The course involves the construction and functioning of a NiCad battery as well as all steps of maintenance, installation, handling, storage and safety precautions. Special focus is applied to capacity checks and reconditioning (deep-cycling) as these are key elements for a long and trouble free battery life at minimum cost for the operator. The course shows methods to achieve maximum results with different materials and equipment already available in the workshop or yet to be acquired. Upon completing the course, participants will be able to carry out the complete spectrum of maintenance independently.

The above mentioned objectives are divided into a theoretical part (first day) and a practical part (second day).
